Buried Inside Spoils of Failure
Since the record is officially out I can now post pics. Gotta say that despite some specs gone awry (wrong paper, wrong coloured vinyl) I am really happy with how this turned out. It’s always a pleasure to work with BI since we have so much history together. When I started working on this there was no title, no lyrics and no theme. Therefore the concept for the drawings and layout was based around the band themselves, their sound and their environment. The last point was important because it was a conscious decision to somehow make it look Canadian. I wanted to make it simpler and more mature than the previous releases which in the end compliments how this album plays: confident, mature and well-realized.
Saw the boys play the hometown show last night, a highly recommended live experience. Snag the LP, CD, or some merch here or off the band themselves:
