Checked out Revolver’s ‘The Art of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal‘ issue and thought it was a pretty good read. Lots of interesting details behind some very influential album art (there are some whack records in there, but overall a good selection). A lot of this stuff is clearly in the heyday of album art and heavy metal, a bygone era where the cover could do just as much to sell a record as radio play.
